Join us in celebrating our donors and partners whose generosity helps our community to thrive and our neighbors to prosper. The Celebration will showcase how your support and partnership help advance The Community Foundation's work to close the racial wealth gap in this region.

Join us for a special conversation with two of the country’s leading experts on racial inequality to reflect on this question: What are the causes and consequences of the racial wealth gap, and how can we pursue economic justice for the Greater Washington region? Our CEO Tonia Wellons will moderate a conversation with Dr. Rashawn Ray, a Senior Fellow at The Brookings Institution and Professor of Sociology at the University of Maryland, and Dr. Thomas Shapiro, award-winning author and Professor of Law and Social Policy at Brandeis University.

As we prepare to celebrate in-person, our number one priority is to protect the health and safety of our guests. For that reason, we’re planning a more intimate Celebration that will bring together our strongest supporters, community partners, and local business leaders for a festive celebration of our shared impact.

To promote social distancing at the Celebration, only a limited number of seats are available. RSVP is required and we encourage you to reserve your ticket before they are gone.

Experience the best this region has to offer!

Entertainment

COVID-19 Protocols
We are actively monitoring the situation and following guidance from local health departments regarding large gatherings and the CDC recommendations for preventing the spread of COVID-19.

  • We will utilize less than half of theater capacity and require all guests to wear face masks when not eating or drinking.
  • The evening will include a seated program, but no plated dinner or reserved tables. A standing networking reception will follow the program with food stations and an open bar.
  • Proof of vaccination is required to enter – this can be your original vaccination card, a copy of the card, a complete picture of the card on a mobile device, or an online digital vaccination record.

We appreciate your understanding and commitment to protecting the health and safety of our guests and community.
